Bio

Farah received her Master's in Social Work at Adelphi University, and has ten years of experience providing counseling. Farah has worked with many different populations in different modalities, and has experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Farah has trained in a variety of settings including a school, assisted living facility, a mental health clinic, and a hospital. She uses an eclectic approach to support her clients, including person-centered, CBT, and system theory. Farah treats patients with depression, anxiety and relationship conflicts. Her patients’ comfort and confidentiality is vital to the success of treatment. As such, she makes sure that they are warmly greeted and informs them of the importance of their privacy. She also lets them know that they are in a safe space where there is compassion and patience. She provides an environment where patients can feel free to open up and share when they are ready. Farah provides support and empathy, and uses her knowledge and experience to help her clients overcome challenges.
