Marissa Puglia, MHC-LP

Staff Therapist

Bio

Marissa earned her master’s degree from Hofstra University and has worked at a residential treatment center for adults with eating disorders, adults of all genders, LGBTQ+, and college students for over a year. She currently works with individuals aged 12-40 and desires to help individuals who suffer from OCD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, self-esteem, women’s issues, sports performance, trauma, teen issues, life transitions, and eating disorders.

She utilizes approaches such as person-centered, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-focused, play therapy, and (some) dialectical behavior therapy. Marissa would like to create an environment that is safe and supportive and wants to hold space for her clients to feel seen, heard and empowered.

Marissa's main goal is to work collaboratively to create a treatment plan that feels comfortable but also challenges clients enough to grow. She would like for her clients to feel supported enough to express themselves, learn more about themselves and make the changes that they want in their lives.
